Two Brand New House Types Released At Abel Homes’ East Harling Site
Abel Homes has unveiled two brand new house types at its ‘Three Squirrels’ site in East Harling, which the Norfolk-based house builder has designed in-house using feedback from customers.
The two new house types are being built alongside 12 existing house designs at the site.
The five-bedroom ‘Sovereign’ house type is designed to offer maximum flexibility, including an en-suite bedroom on the ground floor, a substantial open-plan kitchen/dining room, a generous study to enable working from home, and a dressing area as well as an en-suite to the master bedroom.
The new design was developed using feedback from numerous Abel Homes customers, with the aim of creating a living space which truly reflects the needs of today’s families.
Alongside the five-bedroom Sovereign, Abel Homes has also unveiled a second new house design at Three Squirrels: the four-bedroom ‘Herkules’. This also offers a versatile living space, separate study and large family lounge.
“We are constantly seeking to improve our product, and the best way of doing this is by listening to our customers who are buying and living in the homes we build,” said Abel Homes sales and marketing manager Clare Cornish.
“Our customers tell us that the number one thing they are looking for in a new home is flexibility in the way they can use it, allowing things like working from home and bringing two families together under one roof.
“The way people live their lives is constantly evolving, and it is important that our house designs reflect that.”
Abel Homes has now released its first of the five-bedroom Sovereign homes (£625,000) and has also released the first four-bedroom Herkules homes at £475,000.
A total of 85 energy-efficient family homes will be built at Three Squirrels, which is between Kenninghall Road and Quidenham Road in East Harling.
The new homes will all have the top ‘A’ rating for energy efficiency and include features such as Air Source Heat Pumps, photo-voltaic solar panels, underfloor heating, triple glazing and high levels of insulation. Each home will also feature electric car charging points and fibre broadband direct to the premises.
As part of the development, Abel Homes will create a public open space on the site, and has also made a commitment to provide a piece of public artwork on every site where it builds homes.
