Couple Move Into New Home And See Local Charity Receive Donation Thanks To Runner Dad And House Builder
A Norwich couple, who are celebrating moving into their first home, have seen a £250 donation made to the East Anglian Children’s Hospice thanks to Abel Homes sponsorship of the Run Sandringham events.
Anna Jolly and Dan Balls have just moved into a brand new three bedroom detached house at Taursham Park site in Taverham – built by the Norfolk-based house builder.
As part of the sponsorship, the Norfolk-based house builder offered to make a £250 donation to one of the event’s chosen charities to any prospective buyer who produced the Abel Homes promotional flyer distributed at the race, at the time of their reservation.
Anna’s dad, Mike Jolly, completed the race and passed the flyer onto Anna and Dan, knowing that they were looking for their first home together.
Anna, who is from Taverham and works as a marketing officer at Langley School, and Dan, who is from Thorpe and runs his own plumbing business, were so keen to move into Taursham Park that they were one of the first to register their interest in the site – and were rewarded for their efforts by securing one of the most sought-after plots on the site, backing onto woodland.
“The house is amazing,” said Anna. “I love being able to see trees from our bed, and the fact that we can step off our driveway onto the new woodland walk which Abel Homes has created here.
“It’s really great to support EACH with this donation. It’s such a good local charity.”
Abel Homes sales and marketing manager Clare Cornish said, “We have been a long-time supporter of EACH, so although technically it was Mike who ran the race and Anna and Dan who reserved the property, that was close enough for us! We wish them all the very best in their new home.”
