NHBC Warranty Explained

Built for today. Protected for tomorrow.

When you buy a new home, confidence matters. Every Abel home comes with a 10-year NHBC warranty, giving you long-term reassurance from the day you get the keys.

What is the NHBC?

The National House Building Council (NHBC) is the UK’s leading provider of warranty and insurance for new homes. It sets the construction standards that builders must meet and provides independent inspection and certification throughout the build process.

What the warranty covers

Your NHBC Buildmark warranty provides:

  • Deposit protection from exchange of contracts
  • Two-year builder warranty from Abel Homes — if something needs putting right, we take care of it
  • A further eight years of NHBC insurance covering structural defects
  • Ten years of protection in total

Transferable and reassuring for resale

If you decide to sell your home within the 10-year period, the remaining warranty transfers to the new owner.

This added assurance can make your property more attractive to buyers and support its resale value.

Quality at every stage

This warranty reflects the way we build.

Every Abel home is:

  • Inspected at multiple specific stages during the construction process
  • Built to consistently high standards set by the NHBC
  • Delivered by an experienced, award-winning team

A decade of peace of mind

From the moment you move in, your home is backed by a combination of trusted standards, proven quality, and long-term protection.
