Leading Norfolk Construction Site Manager Celebrates 20 Years In The Job
A Norfolk man who started his career as a digger driver is celebrating 20 years’ service with a local house builder – where he is now a senior site manager in charge of a site where 424 new homes are being built.
Tim Walsingham, from Yaxham, marked two decades with Watton-based firm Abel Homes with a surprise party thrown by colleagues – and a cake depicting highlights from his career.
Mr Walsingham joined the firm in 1999 as a digger driver, but his potential was quickly recognised, and he worked his way up to the senior position he now holds. His talents have been recognised over the years with three prestigious ‘Pride in the Job’ awards and a national ‘Seal of Excellence’ accolade, both from the National House Builders Federation.
He is currently in charge of Abel Homes Swan’s Nest development in Swaffham, where a total of 427 new homes are being built.
Abel Homes chairman Tony Abel said, “It is a real pleasure to mark not just Tim’s long and loyal service, but his very successful career to date with us. It is widely recognised that to succeed in business you need to have the best people on board, and they don’t come much better than Tim.
“We are very proud of how he has progressed from digger driver to one of the most respected site managers in the business, and it was a delight to mark this milestone with all of his colleagues.”
